A evening visit to the parrilla “La Brigada” in San Telmo and conversation over carne, vino, and verdulia. The full BsAs experience, and the funniest yak story I have ever heard (My companion at table has also been to the Himalayas). A walk to a milonga — closed! A walk to another milonga — closed!
Mi companero and I take a cab to Salon Canning. Salon Canning is closed. Whiskey tango foxtrot? A short walk, and I recognize that we are on Cordoba, and so I suggest we walk to Viruta’s – a place some call the “McDonald’s” of tango. An apt description for classes there. Dancing until some point after one, and a return to San Telmo.
Breakfasting on media lunes from a corner panaderia. The dancing was of a so-so level last night. But this is still a way cool vacation spot.
Dying to hear the yak story since I’m going to miss my Nepal trip this year.
